I never realized how much STUFF was in my closet. I'm getting ready to head back to school for the year so I have to decide what clothing goes and what stays. But then I thought, if it's not coming with me, how important is it? Do I REALLY need to keep that argyle sweater that I have not worn in over a year? What about that Ralf Lauren polo that I wore maybe once?
Well you never know, maybe if... NO. STOP. Here's my rule: if you haven't worn it in a year, it goes. Leave more room for incoming things. And you might actually be able to find something next time you are rummaging through for that blazer you KNOW is in there.
You could even turn a profit by taking it to a thrift store that gives cash for gently used clothing.
Yes, it's hard to let go, but you must be strong! Because I'm fairly certain that those puke brown corduroy overalls in the back of your closet will not be coming back in style...ever.

My summer must-have this year is the perfect romper (some also refer to it as a jumper). It's ideal for those hot summer days. Throw it on, add some accessories and you're good to go!
This ING romper is great because of it's simplicity and affordability - $24.99! Even better, in black, it's very easy to take from a day-to-night look.
This flirty Kimichi jumper from UrbanOutfitters adds some fun with its bright print. There are also pockets which are always a plus. Like the ING romper, the black makes for an effortless transition piece. It's a little more expensive, but very worth the $58.
Even though I like the strapless look best, if you're looking for something that is NOT sans straps this floral romper from Forever21 is an easy slip-on. I would probably pair this with a belt or scarf around the middle to help accentuate the waist. The best part? Only $19.90!Bon shopping! xox
new beginnings
Welcome! I decided to start this blog because I am sick of not being able to find pieces that fit into my 3 catergories:
1) "a la mode"
2) extendable (can last longer than one season)
3) affordable!!
Now, I love Vogue possibly as much as Anna Wintor herself (although my investment in it is only $4.95 a month). But I am sick of flipping through fashion magazines that are full of items that an average person would have to spend a week's salary on!
I want to get the most out of my wardrobe on my minimal yearly income (just because I'm a college student doesn't mean I have to compromise my style).
Yet, I believe that buying an item should be an investment, something you can hold onto and wear over and over again. So I'm really excited to share with you some ideas that hopefully will add to your wardrobe without the hefty price tag - or what I like to call "spendiness".
